82nd Annual Convention of Washington State Council of Fire Fighters
NW Fire Velo hosted the 2nd Annual Ride at the convention this year. Each year we can more riders. The ride was approximately 60 miles from the Riverbend Golf Course in Kent and heading to Green River.
The NW Fire Velo Board presented the Council a 2019 Seattle to Colorado jersey in appreciation for all the support of the 2019 ride and this year's 2021 Ride For America cross country event from LA to NY. We had the opportunity to give a short presentation on the 2021 Ride For America in front of the whole convention. We are pleased to have 5 of the 15 riders from Washington.
Fire Fighters First Credit Union was also presented a boxed 2021 Ride For America Shirt as being a main sponsor of the event. This is the 2nd main event they have partnered with us. Thank you.
2019 Seattle, Washington to Colorado Springs, Colorado
Starting on August 29, 2019 a dozen firefighters left from the Microsoft Campus in Bellevue, WA. This 21 Day cycling event covered approximately 1,600 miles, over 70,000 feet of climbing and pass through 5 states with stops at numerous fire departments. Riders arrived in Colorado Springs on September 20th in time for the annual International Association of Firefighters Fallen Firefighter Memorial services on September 21st, 2019. Money raised benefited the Gary Sinise Foundationís RISE program.
Auburnís 54th Annual Veterans Parade & Observance

NW Fire Velo had a staffed fundraising booth for the Gary Sinise Foundation RISE Program.
Auburn, Washington is designated by the Veterans Day National Committee and the US Department of Veterans Affairs as a Regional Site for celebration of Veterans Day 2020. The City of Auburn is proud to be a Vietnam War Commemorative Partner. Auburn has hosted the Veterans Parade since 1965. Now in its 54th year, the parade has grown into one of the largest parades of its kind in the United States of America.

Our members rode bicycle trainers for the day, fundraising for the Gary Sinise Foundation RISE Program.
2017 Seattle, Washington to Los Angeles, California Ride
At the inaugural event in 2017, firefighters bicycled from Seattle, Washington to Los Angeles, California.
After 1,500 miles, and nightly stops with fundraising events at local fire departments, the group raised
over $36,000 for the R.I.S.E. Program. They were also instrumental in having the R.I.S.E. Foundation fund
new Turn-Out gear for a small volunteer fire department in Sixes River, Oregon.
