WSCFF Annual NW Fire Velo Bike Ride

Monday, June 21, 2021

Please join NW Fire Velo at the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters for a bike ride on Monday June 21, 2021 at 8am.

This bike ride is open to all abilities and the length of the ride will be based on the group. We are hoping to roll out at 8am for a 2 to 3 hour event and have you warmed up for golfing.

This event is free. Please complete a registration and insurance waiver prior to the event.

This is a kick off event for the 2021 Ride For America 40 day cross country event in remembrance of the 20th Anniversary of September 11th. Washington will have five members of NW Fire Velo representing in the ride this summer.

*This is a free event with no event tee shirt.
**Event will follow CDC and King County Covid-19 guidelines.

Ride For America 9-11 2021 20th Anniversary Ride with National Fire Velo

NW Fire Velo will be riding with our National Chapter, Fire Velo this summer for 'Ride for America 9-11' starting August 1, 2021 from Santa Monica, California. A total of 15 firefighters will be riding and NW Fire Velo is honored to have five members selected to ride across the country in remembrance of those who lost their lives on that fateful morning almost 20 years ago and lives lost to related illnesses.

It will take them through 14 states over 3,000 miles and an elevation gain of 101,482 feet. These riders will give everything they have on this cross-country ride in remembrance. Cyclists will stop to pay their respects at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County Pennsylvania, The Pentagon and finally arriving in NYC at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum on September 9, 2021.
